ABOUT US: Frankie Rocca and Dave Eccleston make up the Rock & Stone Sports Show.  Frankie has been around every facet of hockey and sports in general for 25 years and is very knowledgeable (at least he thinks so !).   Dave Eccleston played most of his minor hockey in the GTHL for several AAA teams and was drafted by the Port Credit Titans JR. B team where he played 2 season, before going to College in Thunder Bay for a degree in Aviation while playing for the Thunderbirds in the CCAA (only to crap out and become a dumb pilot) and therefore we have 2 dummies running a sports talk show ! ! THIS WEEKS GUESTS: This week we happen to be featuring a few people….  First, we've pre-recorded interview with an amazing young athlete - Jade Scognamillo of Caledon East who  will be swimming 19.2km solo across Lake Erie on Saturday July 12th 2008!   At 14 years old, Jade will set a new record as the youngest swimmer of this lake, entering the water at Sturgeon Point, New York, USA and finishing around 8-9 hours later at Crystal Beach, Ontario.  She has decided to use her love of swimming to make a difference by supporting a great charity, Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.  As we are doing our show on Saturday, Jade will be entering the water for her big swim and we support Jade 100%!!  GO GET EM’ JADE !  Also this week, Hockey Legend Ron Ellis dropped by our studio to help us support our Hockey Equipment Swap!  While he was in studio, we talked a little about the new Maple Leaf practice facility and why there is some confusion about people thinking the Hockey Hall of Fame is moving there!   Ron is a great person and we appreciate him taking the time to help support a great cause like our Swap (and having a few laughs with us)!! Hopefully the Wanderers won’t let Frankie get involved in any soccer games on Saturday... he’s Italian but that where the soccer skill ends.  And also on the show Saturday - we will be discussing the Hockey/Equipment Swap, which will be held on the weekend of August 2nd/3rd at the Caledon East Arena Complex and outlining some ways listeners can participate or volunteer !   So listen in this Saturday morning from 1000-1200 on the Rock & Stone Sports Show!   Its a LIVE SHOW on the B105.5FM or - if you are outside our listening area - log on to our website at http://radiocaledon.com and click on the live link to stream our show via the internet.
